Even though the new law requires health plans that cover dependents to insure them up to age 26, but it do not mention that mention dental and vision coverage.
Based on Kathy Bakich, a senior vice president with the Segal Co.:
The rules released last week do not mention dental and vision coverage. However, the new law does not apply to “limited-scope” dental and vision plans, Bakich says. If dental and vision care “is priced separately and separately elected, it’s probably limited scope,” she says.
